The Senior Accountant is responsible for assisting with all day-to-day accounting operations including functional responsibility over accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

The Opportunity:

• Prepare and review the monthly close process to ensure timely, accurate, and valid financial information.
• Manage the general ledger and trial balance.
• Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, analyses, and supporting work papers.
• Support the invoice creation and distribution process.
• Prepare and analyze journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Analyze and interpret financial information to provide insights and recommendations to management.
• Review and improve accounting policies, procedures, and processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
• Assist with external audits and tax engagements, ensuring timely and accurate submission of required documents.
• Assist with multi-state sales tax returns, state income tax filings, and other state reporting requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies, enhance processes, and strengthen teamwork.
• Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current practices and recommending changes.

What you bring:

• 4-5 years of progressive experience in financial management.
• Experience in project management and process improvement initiatives.
• Prior experience as a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager supporting business operations.
• Experience with Sage Intacct (preferred, not required).
• Experience in a private equity–backed business environment (preferred, not required).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, MBA strongly preferred.
• CPA designation required.
