The Opportunity:

• Receives, prepares, processes, and maintains documents germane to billing while utilizing operational best-practices systems and processes
• Pursues/billing government payers, including Medicare
• Identifies and corrects billing errors and resubmits claims to insurance payers
• Reviews/resolves claim edits
• Reviews remittance advice for payment errors, denials, and under payments for government, commercial, WC, Auto and TPL payments
• Manages claims follow-up, aging and work queues to ensure maximum reimbursement for services provided
• Posts adjustments to patient accounts (as required by Client policy)
• Navigate multiple Client systems dependent on Client need in accordance with Client mandated protocol. System examples: Epic, Cerner, and Invision

What you bring:

• Minimum 2 (two) years medical billing experience, preferably within facility setting (hospital)
• Medicare CWF and billing experience preferred
• Working knowledge of UB04/HCFA completion guidelines and ICD 10 CM and CPT code sets
• EPIC billing experience
• UB-04 billing experience
• Experience with Meditech, Cerner, DDE
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
• Mathematical ability to calculate rates using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
• Familiarity with CPT, ICD coding
